Church fashions...

Okay, that title was a work in progress that seemed to best sum up my dilemna!

When I went to church when I was younger, I was often there as a Brownie, Guide, and as I got older, a Leader. Meaning I had a uniform to wear. I might not have liked it, but I knew what I was wearing, and that others would be wearing it too.

Now that I am a church goer in my own right, not just when there with the Brownies, I often have a crisis of fashion - What Do You Wear To Church These Days. I mean, what do you wear? The older members of the congregation are there in their M&S staples... I can't really be in my jeans and trainers.

Just to clarify, I'm there through choice, I'm there through my own volition, and I could go in my jeans and trainers if I wanted. I just don't want to.

Business dress is too formal - a Christmas Eve 7pm Service type of deal. So I need to look both smart, and relaxed at the same time. It also usually transpires that I end up going to Asda or some such afterwards.

Now though, I have my outfit all figured out. The Domino Dollhouse skirt. Ahhhhh, where would I be without you. Standing, staring at this:

Instead, I knew I would be wearing something like this:

Wears:
Top - Simply Be : pack of two, green / purple 2011
Skirt (just seen) - Domino Dollhouse

Christmas present from Mam and Dad: Hot Diamonds necklace.

Much love my lovelies,

K x

  1. I don't go to church anymore, but I have found my new dress to be perfect for "those types" of occasions - modest, fashionable, cute and comfortable and relaxed.

A dress like the one I'm wearing there is perfect. There are different types of it all over the place. As long as you cover your bits both top and bottom you'll be good! You have chosen a cute lil outfit.

Ps your bathroom is divine, I'm eagerly waiting for nest year when I can move into my own place with AN ACTUAL BATHROOM! Uni living SUCKS!

  2. Thanks, it's my parents bathroom!

I love that dress on you, but can't find it on their website! Which, given my mental list of items I want to buy, I think that this is a good thing! My skirt is my new 'go to dress' xx
