Joe Browns for Fashion World

Joe Browns have always something in that appeals to the alternative teenager in me, the vintage loving 20-something, and the nearly 30 but DON'T CARE in me!

When the lovely folks at FashionWorld offered me some items to review, the Joe Browns section was my first port of call!

Yes, you see right, I CHOSE JEANS!

And what jeans they are too!

Good bum coverage, they sit high on my waist (but roomy!), and a good length for my odd height! I went for size 22, but with 31" length - happy days!

I also picked up the beaut that is this owl print tunic:

Are owls really super heroes in masks and capes?

Maggie the Photo-bombing cat certainly approves!

I opted for this Vintage Tea Dress too, mainly for the print, but also as the bodice appeared to be rather structured in the photo:

When I pulled it on, I felt I had worn the dress before:

So it's the same cut, but a different print! Happy days!

To add to my stash, I picked up this bright crinkle jersey shirt, thinking it would be lush with jeans, or with a pair of straight legged trousers. Due to the weather recently I've not worn this yet, but I'm rather looking forward to the weather turning so I can throw it on and bring some colour into the office!!

But when I was out at the Simply Be store in the Metro Centre, I couldn't resist buying this Colourful Coral 50s too:

Joe Browns have something for everyone. For my androgynous teen, to my flirty femme persona now, I feel the brand covers the alternatives to mainstream fashion rather well!

Much love my lovelies,

F&F True Blue

I am sorry my beauties, I really am.

I'm now that horrible person who will be going "Hey, look at this great dress - you can't have it"!

I've also been a rubbish blogger - I was offered the chance to order some pieces from the new True Range for F&F, which I previewed here. I jumped at the chance to order - which was when I was in Turkey - and as a result, I'm late in posting this great dress. And, as is the down side of fast fashion, it is no longer available on line, although it may still be in store.

This daisy print wrap tea dress is a beaut of a dress.

The cap sleeves, the full wrap detail, the tie backs, and the clinging skirt, all come together to be a sexy, sassy and on trend dress:

Although the wrap detail was a little too sexy for my usual office look, so I added an earring to pin the dress a little higher up (I don't like sewing them shut, to keep my options open!)

The dress itself is a 22, and fits me very well, but I would understand if some people felt this was a small fitting dress - I like that it clings and is on the slinky side:

Not the best picture, but you get what I mean...

So, I have learnt my lesson - write up my dresses earlier (I have now washed it, and it's not shrunk, piled or lost the print - something I like to know before I praise a dress as much as I was planning on praising this).

I still have one more treat from the F&F range, and something extra for you all - keep your eyes peeled!

Much love my lovelies,

Although the item was sent to me to review, my thoughts and opinions are my own

Swans Rising

This dress sang to me. The swan print was quirky, the dress a familiar cut - see this:

I have this dress in a 22, and it has now stretched a little, so I opted for the swan print in a 20.

I know the dress is a little short, but I honestly don't mind! I'm not wearing tights / leggings / jeans with this dress to show you just how short they are - although I am starting to realise that part of it is my 'ample rear' making the dress shorter at the back!

That picture on the lower left is to show how with a bit of angles, and sucking in, my waist may be tiny, but my T&A remain - so even if I was to lose bits and pieces from me, I would still be a 'curvy' girl in the pure sense of the word.

Much love my lovelies,
